Greetings from Niagara College
Today was an exciting day for Niagara College with the visit of Dalton McGuinty who had a big fat cheque for 15.4 million dollars in tow. The donation is a much appreciated investment in the expansion of Niagara College's skills trade programs. The money will be used to expand classroom and specialized labs, making space for about 730 more students per year in technical and culinary programs.
It was an honour to be invited and meet Mr McGuinty, who is just as friendly as everyone says. As a recent graduate of Niagara and a former student leader this type of investment shows his government's commitment to imporoving the college system.
Thanks Dalton [and Ontario]!
[Note: I really wish I would have noticed my camera was on manual focus before he walked in, he was heading straight for me to shake my hand and I panicked cause it was hot and I had sweaty palms... I was there on a personal note though, not to actually take photos, so no harm done]
